Attend an open house or learn more about participating in the Public Hearing.

Overview

Citizens are invited to learn more about the Electric Utility Modernization Project through a series of open house events and contribute their feedback through the Public House process.   

Open house events 

A series of open house events will occur across the community to help citizens learn more about the project. These events are your opportunity to ask questions, engage in conversation with the project team and learn how to participate in the public hearing. These events are drop in style with no formal presentations.

Public hearing 

In order to make a decision related to establishing an MCC, a Public Hearing is required, according to the Municipally Government Act and the Municipally Controlled Corporation Act. The Public Hearing is an opportunity for Council to hear directly from citizens and other interested parties before making a decision.   

Anyone wishing to provide feedback is invited to participate, either in person or in writing. Written submissions are due by June 13.
