Only a licensed contractor, with a valid sheet metal ticket, can apply for a heating permit. If you are a contractor requiring a City of Red Deer Business Licence, please visit our Licensing page to obtain and submit your Business Licence application, and for more information.
The fees are subject to change on May 1 of each year to be in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

The Safety Codes Permit Bylaw 3551.2015.pdf will have information pertaining to a Permit for your project type.
You can apply for your permit in one of the following ways:

Alternatively, you can complete the Heating Permit Application Form (pdf), and submit it by email or in person:

You will need at least two Safety Codes inspections during the course of your heating installation:
