Sponsorship

The City of Red Deer is launching a Sponsorship Pilot Program to explore opportunities for partnerships that support City programs, services, events and amenities.

The program is intended to help generate new revenue, enhance community experiences and create mutually beneficial partnerships while ensuring sponsorship activities align with City values, priorities and public interest.

What Council Approved

On June 9, 2026, Red Deer City Council approved a Sponsorship Pilot Program and directed Administration to begin implementing the program using existing approved budgets.

Council also directed Administration to:

  • Provide annual reporting on sponsorship revenues, costs, activities and program outcomes.
  • Return the Sponsorship Policy and Sponsorship Program Evaluation Framework to Committee of the Whole by the end of 2026 for review and consideration.

What You Can Expect

As the program is developed, The City will:

  • Establish a clear and consistent process for evaluating sponsorship opportunities.
  • Ensure sponsorships align with City policies, values and community expectations.
  • Identify opportunities that provide value to residents while supporting City services, programs and events.
  • Monitor and report on program performance and outcomes.
