Red Deer RCMP is requesting public assistance locating missing person 37-year-old Vanessa Desjarlais. Vanessa was last seen on Oct.8, 2025 in Red Deer and there is concern for her wellbeing.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 2, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., a Red Deer RCMP General Duty member was conducting proactive patrols in the area of Gaetz Ave and 28 Street when he observed a suspicious person and vehicle in a parking lot.
On Oct. 2, 2025, shortly before 2 p.m., Red Deer RCMP Downtown Patrol Unit (DPU) arrested a wanted male while conducting mountain bike patrols in the downtown core, leading to new charges and the seizure of drugs.
