In the early morning hours of Oct. 2, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., a Red Deer RCMP General Duty member was conducting proactive patrols in the area of Gaetz Ave and 28 Street when he observed a suspicious person and vehicle in a parking lot.
On Oct. 2, 2025, shortly before 2 p.m., Red Deer RCMP Downtown Patrol Unit (DPU) arrested a wanted male while conducting mountain bike patrols in the downtown core, leading to new charges and the seizure of drugs.
