Verbal statements will not be considered.
If you wish to dispute your ticket, DO NOT PAY THE TICKET. Payment is an admission of guilt, and a review of the ticket will not occur.
You can submit your written dispute statement:
- Online: Parking Ticket Appeal Form
- By email: cityparking@reddeer.ca
- In person: Inspections & Licensing Kiosk on the first floor of City Hall
- By mail: to PO Box 5008, Red Deer AB T4N 3T4
If you submit your appeal statement within 10 calendar days from the date of the offence, your ticket will be held at the reduced rate while it is being reviewed.
The City of Red Deer Parking Authority will cancel tickets when there is a (confirmed) machine malfunction, data entry error on the ticket, or if the ticket recipient has a valid parking pass or disabled placard.
Once a decision has been made, a letter will be mailed to the address on the vehicle's registration. The letter will indicate one of the following:
- Your ticket has been canceled and payment is not required; or
- You are required to pay your ticket. A new due date will be provided.
Ticket disputes submitted for reasons of compassion or extenuating circumstances may not be cancelled at the municipal level, but can be further disputed at Provincial Court.
