Fire Prevention
Fire Prevention involves the prevention of fire related property loss and injury through public education, inspection, and enforcement of the Fire Code and investigation of fire incidents.
The Fire Prevention Bureau is committed to ensuring the safety of the public as their primary focus, by reducing the potential risk of fire. The work carried out by the fire prevention bureau, is vital in ensuring that commercial buildings built in the City of Red Deer are in compliance with the Alberta Fire Code.
The Fire Prevention Bureau consists of seven members and a Fire Marshal, certified as Safety Codes Officers in the Fire discipline.
