Red Deer, Alta., - On July 14, 2023 at approximately 8:45 a.m., Red Deer RCMP officers were on patrol on 50th Ave and 50th Street, when they were flagged down by a civilian.
The civilian reported that their vehicle tire had been slashed and a tire rim was damaged. This resulted in approximately $550 dollars worth of damage.
Red Deer RCMP completed an investigation and obtained video surveillance of the incident.
With the assistance of our members of the Downtown Patrol Unit, a notorious individual was identified.
One individual has been arrested and charges are pending.
An information has not been sworn before the courts, therefore the name of the individual cannot be released at this time.
Red Deer RCMP are urging residents and business owners to pick up the phone, call police and report incidents. If you witness an event or suspicious activity taking place, do not wait for someone else to make the phone call.
