Red Deer, Alta. – At about 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2022, Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of a male who had been assaulted at a residence in the Highland Green neighbourhood. When officers arrived at the scene, the injured male provided a description of the three suspects and their vehicle.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injures. A short time later, police located both the suspect vehicle and the three suspects in a commercial area in south Red Deer. The suspects proceeded to drive to a nearby TD bank and park, at which time officers arrested the three suspects without incident.
As a result of the investigation the three suspects have been charged with numerous counts.
Shane Donnally (43) of Lloydminster is charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Uttering threats
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order
- Disobeying court order
- Failure to comply with conditions
Jason Krysta (31) of Lloydminster is charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Uttering threats
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order (x2)
- Disobeying court order
Corey Morris (30) of Lloydminster is charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Uttering threats
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order
All three individuals have been remanded and are set to appear at Red Deer Provincial Court on Jan. 26, 2022.
