Policies Related to Planning

Council Policies

Purpose Statement Policies are The City's reasons for being and shall be referred to when making planning decisions.

Executive Limitations define the limitation within which the City Manager works to accomplish Council's Purpose Statements. The following policies apply to planning decisions:

EL-B-2.4 Growth (pdf) - This policy outlines what the City Manager needs to take into account when recommending future growth opportunities.
EL-D-2.0.4 Use of City Owned Land (pdf) - The purpose of this policy is to outline the limitations pertaining to the use of City-owned land.

Corporate Policies

The following policies are related to planning:

6305-CA Planning & Development (pdf) - The purpose of this policy is to establish and implement planning guidelines, standards, and procedures.
6306-CA Telecommunication Facilities (pdf) - This policy establishes compliance with Industry Canada for the placement of telecommunications facilities within City Limits.
