Municipal Election

Election 2021 - Vote on October 18

The 2021 Election will be held on Monday, October 18, where voters will elect one Mayor, eight City Councillors, and seven School Board Trustees each for both school divisions; the Red Deer School Division and the Red Deer Catholic Separate School Division. Nominations are now being accepted for all positions.

Election Sign Locations

The City of Red Deer has a number of designated locations on municipal land that election signs can be placed. Download the Election Sign Placement Guide (pdf) now or pick it up from Legislative Services, 2nd Floor of Red Deer City Hall. 

Be sure to ask permission before putting signs on private land and call Alberta One Call at 1-800-242-3447 before you dig. 

Please be aware that these rules only apply within the city of Red Deer’s boundaries.
