Red Deerians are once again invited to participate in The City’s outdoor fitness classes, starting May 4 at Setters Place at Great Chief Park.

A variety of high and moderate-intensity classes including cardio and strength training will be offered at program start-up. More low-intensity options such as gentle, low-impact and yoga classes will be available as the weather warms up. Customers can see the full schedule of classes and descriptions at http://looknbook.reddeer.ca/

“We continue to offer as much programming as possible while navigating public health restrictions through the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to bring more opportunities for fitness and wellness, we are excited to get back to our outdoor fitness programming,” said Barb McKee, Recreation Superintendent. “Safety is our top priority, and we know how important it is to be active and to get outdoors - through our Outdoor Fitness program, customers can do both!”

These fitness offerings are in addition to the Virtual Fitness classes that continue to be available. For $27 per month customers can purchase a Value Pass and gain unlimited access to both Virtual and Outdoor Fitness programming. Alternatively, the Virtual Fitness monthly passes remain available for $25 per month for those wishing to participate in only the Virtual Fitness classes.

Participants are to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to class start, and to depart within 10 minutes of class-end. There is no access change rooms on site. A full list of registration information, including what to bring, is included online at www.reddeer.ca/OutdoorFitness.
