Canadian Multiculturalism Day
June 27 is Canadian Multiculturalism Day. The date was designated in 2002 by the Government of Canada as the annual opportunity for all Canadians to celebrate the diversity of our country, society and communities.
Why is this day important?
Multiculturalism is one of Canada’s great strengths. It’s important to ensure all citizens keep their identities, take pride in their heritage and have a sense of belonging here in Canada.
