Red Deer, Alta. – On Feb. 10, 2025, Red Deer RCMP were notified of fraudulent websites and social pages posing as the legitimate business, Peavy Mart. These fraudulent websites claim to offer an online store for purchasing items. It should be noted that the real Peavey Mart does not operate an online store.
The public are urged to exercise caution when shopping online. Always verify website addresses to ensure you are on the official website before providing any personal or financial information.
If you believe you are a victim of this fraudulent website you are asked to contact your local police service. If you reside within the city of Red Deer, please contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-406-2200. It is also suggested to contact your financial institution and consider contacting both Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada to monitor your credit report for any unauthorized activity.
