Red Deer, Alta - On May 22nd, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., your Red Deer RCMP responded to an explosion inside of a garage located in the Bower area of Red Deer.
Police, along with Red Deer Fire, attended the location and after investigation the cause is believed to be accidental in nature. The explosion occurred as a result of using a welding torch near an open gas tank, which ignited the gas vapours. At this time there are no reported injuries.
