Red Deer, Alta. – On Nov. 20, 2024, at 5:42 p.m. Red Deer RCMP received a report of a stabbing in an industrial area on 79 Street in Red Deer. Upon arrival, RCMP and EMS located the victim deceased. RCMP located and arrested a suspect nearby and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was deployed to continue with the investigation.
The suspect remains in custody with charges pending.
RCMP advise the victim and suspect were known to each other and there is no risk to the community.
A release with additional details is anticipated once charges are laid.
