Pedestrian bridge temporary closure

Pedestrians between the Bower and Sunnybrook neighbourhoods are being made aware of a temporary bridge and trail closure in the area.

Starting this week, the bridge located east of Sunnybrook Farm and west of Sunnyside Crescent is being replaced and trail users will be detoured through the Sunnybrook neighbourhood until approximately the end of May.

The existing bridge has reached the end of its design life and is experiencing structural deterioration. To maintain public safety and trail continuity, the bridge is being replaced. Those in the area are reminded to obey directional signage and give crews room to complete their work.
