Motorists are advised of a traffic disruption on the northbound lane of the Taylor Drive Bridge as crews complete rehabilitation work on the bridge structure. As part of this work, 54 Avenue will also be closed between Taylor Drive and 50A Street. Drivers needing to turn onto Taylor Drive from 54 Avenue will need to use 50A Street instead.
Starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 8, there will be lane closures on both north and south bounds lanes so detours can be constructed. These lane closures are anticipated to be in place for two to three weeks.
When the detour construction is complete the northbound lanes of the bridge will be closed, and traffic will be diverted to southbound lanes. The project is expected to wrap up in mid-August.
Drivers are reminded to slow down when in construction areas and pedestrians are to cross only at designated crosswalks. This work is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change. For more information about road closures, visit www.reddeer.ca/roadclosures.
