Building permit values decreased in December

Building permit values decreased in December, with 49 approved permits valued at $4.5 million, compared with 58 permits issued in December 2021 worth $6.5 million.

Year-to-date building permit values remain higher in 2022, with current values at $154 million compared with $134 million last year.

Notable permits include:

  • Building permit for tenant improvements at 1117-2827 30 Avenue, valued at $1 million
  • Building permit for interior and exterior renovations to existing building at 101-5589 47 Street, valued at $520,000
  • Building permit for construction of two modular classrooms and connecting hallway at 100-56 Holt Street, valued at $450,000
  • Building permit for interior renovations and subdivision into 3-4 legal units at 210-5002 55 Street, valued at $315,000
  • Building permit for construction of new salon at 1-5579 47 Street, valued at $250,000
