Visual artists, art groups, and curators are invited to submit exhibition proposals for The City of Red Deer’s Viewpoint Gallery for the 2023 art exhibition program.
Located in the lobby of the former Intermediate School (5205 48 Avenue), Viewpoint Gallery provides opportunities for local artists and curators to exhibit original artwork. The gallery pays honoraria to artists based on the CARFAC recommended rates for Exhibitions in Other Public Spaces.
This call is open to Canadian artists and curators working in any visual art media, including, but not limited to, sculpture, painting, printmaking, lettering arts, ceramics, fibre arts, glass, fine craft, jewelry, digital art, mixed media, photography, film, video, and performance art.
In addition to a completed application form, interested applicants are asked to provide the following as part of their application:
- V. (Curriculum Vitae)
- Up to 10 images of supporting artwork in JPG format. Image files should be no larger than 1 MB and should be labeled with the artist’s last name, title of artwork, date completed, media and dimensions.
- A corresponding image list
The submission deadline is Monday, September 12, 2022, at 4 p.m. The application form and a gallery floorplan are available online at www.reddeer.ca/viewpoint.
