Administration is recommending City Council give all three readings to a Tax Rate Bylaw at their next regular meeting, Monday April 11.
The Tax Rate Bylaw sets the rates for collecting taxes to support the 2022 City budget, recently approved with a 0% tax revenue increase for 2022.
Monday’s meeting also includes consideration of the Business Improvement Area (BIA) Tax Rate Bylaw. The BIA bylaw applies to taxable businesses in the downtown and funds the Downtown Business Association (DBA) budget. The DBA budget was approved by Council in December.
