Alberta Culture Days is an annual festival celebrating arts and culture across the province. The City of Red Deer is excited to kick-off this year’s festivities by unveiling an updated sculpture of Francis the pig on Friday, August 29, 2025, between 2 and 4 p.m. at the Central Spray and Play on 47A Avenue and 47 Street.
Other events taking place throughout the month of September include making traditional cuisines, writing short stories, open studio time, painting, dancing and more.
If you don’t feel up to flexing your creative side, join in the fun as an observer with a mural tour, an artist talk, or take in some improve comedy.
With more than 40 events taking place, there’s something for everyone regardless of experience or interest. More information including a full list of events, can be found online at reddeer.ca/AlbertaCultureDays.
