Setters Place at Great Chief Park features:

• a synthetic regulation sized sports field lined for football and soccer;
• a three storey pavilion building with team change rooms and media/timekeeper area;
• 400m outdoor natural ice speed skating oval constructed on top of the artificial turf.

Setters Place at Great Chief Park is available for year round bookings. These bookings can include speed skating, team skills/conditioning practice, or any number of events. This facility boasts the following amenities:

Synthetic sports field:

• Outdoor synthetic sports field – regulation sized for soccer and football

Outdoor Ice Oval:

The Ice Oval is an incredible facility which boasts some of the most immaculate outdoor ice in North America. It is incredibly maintained and flooded between rentals. Your paid rental includes the use of one indoor private changeroom and on-site washrooms.

Opportunities include:

• Lane 1 – rent one lane in the speed skating oval.
  Rate: $35.50 – youth, resident rate
  Skating, conditioning, skills work only - no sticks, pucks or rings permitted
• Lane 2 – rent one lane in the speed skating oval, plus the inner ice surface
  Rate: $35.50 – youth, resident rate
  Skating, conditioning, skills work only - no sticks, pucks or rings permitted
• Full Ice Oval Rental – private rental for all ice surfaces on-site
  Rate: $119.30 – youth, resident rate
  Sticks, pucks and rings are permitted with full rental. 2 nets available.

Pavilion Building

This building is perfect for your next skating event! It includes indoor washrooms and a heated gathering space for you to lace up your skates. Paid rentals include the use of one private changeroom located within the pavilion. Drop-in skating is free to use the lower gathering space to lace up.

Drop-In Opportunities at the Ice Oval

Drop-in skating is available Monday – Thursday and Saturday/Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.. However, these times are subject to change, please check drop-in schedules before your visit at the link below. Drop-in skating at Setters Place is included with any monthly recreation pass, or by paying daily admission. This facility is cash-only, and there is no ATM on site.

Friday Free Skates offer free opportunities to participate each Friday during the skating season from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. weather dependent.
