Greater Downtown is supported through a mix of City services, community safety responses, and corporate support teams. This page is your guide to what service is provided, who provides it, and who to contact with a question or concern.

Downtown cleaning and litter

Downtown cleaning services continue during the transition. City staff are carrying out the former Clean Team duties to help keep downtown clean, safe, and welcoming.

For downtown cleaning concerns, call 403-342-8238.

Needle debris removal

If you find a needle and are not equipped to pick it up:

  1. Cover or mark it with an object.
  2. Call 403-342-8238 for disposal.

If you are equipped to dispose of it safely, follow The City’s and use an approved drop-off location.

Social Diversion Team

The Social Diversion Team connects people in non-emergency crisis to the supports they may need, including housing, health, detox, harm reduction, and other community services.

Call 403-406-2200 if someone appears to need help and is not posing an immediate danger to themselves or others.

Ross Street Patio Entertainment District

Ross Street Patio remains a downtown gathering place for live music, special events, and seasonal activity. For questions or concerns about the Entertainment District, call 403-406-8820 or email culturemailbox@reddeer.ca.

Parking

For downtown parking questions, monthly parking, short-term parking, maps, and business resources, contact 403-342-8185 or cityparking@reddeer.ca.

Graffiti

If your home or business has been tagged, remove the graffiti as soon as possible. Support and low-cost solutions are available through the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre.

To report graffiti on a property that is not yours, use The City’s Report a Problem tool.
