Remembrance Day Ceremonies

Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, formal Remembrance Day ceremony will be live-streamed for 2020.
Cenotaph Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day services in Red Deer will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19 regulations. Starting at 10:50 a.m. the Korean Veteran Association will live-stream their ceremony from the Cenotaph, allowing anyone wanting to honour those who gave their lives from the safety and comfort of home to participate. Visit the Cenotaph Remembrance Day Ceremony Facebook page to view the live-stream.

Members of the Red Deer Legion Branch #35 will lay wreaths in Remembrance at the Cenotaph prior to the event. They are encouraging the public to remain home with family and reflect on Remembrance and the meaning of November 11.

This Remembrance Day, let’s honour those who selflessly served our country by helping to protect each other. Wreaths and poppies will remain in place following the ceremony so those wishing to safely pay their respects in person or be driving by can do so.

This event is subject to change by the organizer.
