Red Deer Building permits values continue to rise

Building permits were on the rise again in September due to a number of commercial, industrial and public permits.

Year-to-date building permits continue to rise over 2017 numbers with the total value of $167.5 million so far in 2018, compared to $97.1 million by this time in 2017.

Notable permits for September include: a $15.6 million permit for the modernization of St. Patrick’s School; a $7.3 million permit for the Northside Community Centre; a $4.3 million dollar permit for an addition to the Red Deer Hospice; and a permit, valued at $1.2 million, for a private compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station.
