Games competitions are taking place at venues throughout Red Deer. As such, you may notice roads and restaurants are a bit busier than usual. Please give yourself extra time to get where you’re going and be patient with our guests.

Attending a competition? Avoid the hassle of finding parking when watching Games events by taking transit. Check out our Transit Pocket Map (pdf) to figure out what route to take and then visit our Transit Page to find all the information you need to plan your trip.

Please Note: Monday through Saturday, the final two departure times of Transit buses from downtown are 10:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Most nights, fireworks begin at 10:30, capping off the end of the festival. On Sunday and the Family Day holiday, the last buses leave Sorensen Station at 6:45 p.m. Please check out our event guide to plan your evenings.

Parking is free at most venues, and free downtown on evenings (after 5 p.m.), weekends, and on Family Day. For more information on parking lots, costs and hours, visit Parking Downtown.

If travelling by car, carpool when possible. If a venue's parking lot is at capacity, a number of venues have residential street parking nearby. Please be courteous of residential parking access such as driveways. When parking downtown, check out the Downtown Parking Lots and Rates (pdf) that are available to choose from.
