Downtown Red Deer is at the centre of the action with a two-week cultural and music festival as well as numerous events throughout the downtown. Catch any bus to get downtown in under 30 minutes. City parking lots are free after 5pm and on weekends.

52° North Music + Cultural Festival

Experience some of Canada's best arts and entertainment as part of the The 52 Degree North Music + Cultural Festival from February 16 - March 1, 2019. This free, non-ticketed outdoor festival includes more than 80 performing acts; as well as:

  • Artisan Avenue market
  • Food trucks
  • Crokicurl
  • Skating
  • Snow maze
  • Ice slide
  • Community stage

Little Gaetz will be hopping with activity from February 16 - March 2, 2019. Take part in:

  • Chainsaw Carving: Watch Chainsaw Spirit turn wood into unique pieces of art every evening at 5pm. Proudly sponsored by ENMAX. 
  • Craft Beverage Sampling: Taste local Central Alberta craft beverages at the Scott Block from 4-7pm on February 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 28, March 1 and 2. 
  • Woodworking: Join Eco-Tree every afternoon from 4-5pm for a wood milling demonstration and workshops with Sawing for Schools. 
  • Lunch Time Performances: Live musical performances from 11:30-1pm on Little Gaetz Avenue.
