Environmental Master Plan
The Environmental Master Plan (EMP) was endorsed by Council in 2011. It serves as a guide to improve environmental sustainability in our city by setting goals and providing short, medium and long-term strategies. As part of The City of Red Deer's ongoing commitment to understanding, protecting and improving its environmental performance and public services, we developed a refreshed Environmental Master Plan (EMP) in 2019;
The EMP identifies six focus areas:
- community design (a combination of transportation and built environment)
